14 March 2008SXSW: Web video is still several years away from profitability, says former Disney CEO and current Web video entrepreneur Michael Eisner, during an interview conducted by Mark Cuban. Eisner also said he’s pushing ahead in online video because it’s going to pay to be a pioneer. (http://www.news.com 3/11) The “nuclear disaster” at SXSW was nothing more than a witch burning. The video of the much-discussed interview of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg by Sarah Lacy shows “nothing but a lively crowd and a long, boring interview.” (http://www.techcrunch.com 3/11) After last year’s “explosive arrival on the geek scene” at South by Southwest Interactive of Twitter, a lot of people wondered what technology might take the conference by storm this year.
